I think this site is great; it's got various aspects to it that people can comment on; however, I did not see a section for individuals who have questions about education. It would be great if there was a section for this!

Thanks for the site!

thanks for the suggestion, it is a good idea, i have thought about it before but i never decided on a title for the category so i ended up not creating it.

maybe members here could suggest a name for such a board.

when naming a forum we need to keep three things in mind.

1 the name should be something that will help people understand what that forum is about.

2 the name should be something that people searching for the subject would type into google search.

3 i cant remember what three was now...!

i had thought "studying psychology" might be an appropriate name but i was unsure about it, any body have any thoughts, comments, suggestions etc.

i remember why i could not decide on a title now, its because the forum has psychology, mental health and psychotherapy sections, i didnt wnat to limit the educational discussions to any one of those sections but i could not decide a general tilte that covered all of the areas.

I think Psychology Education is a good title.  If someone is studying mental health or psychotherapy then they're most likely a Psychology major.

thanks for the input

having give this a little more thought i have come to the following conclusion.

i am thinking perhaps "education and professional issues" which would be a forum in the psychology category.  this would cover professional practice, ie, insurance, organisations, policies and procedures, ethical dilemmas, interviews etc, and academic and educational pursuits for advice on courses, study skills, qualifications, assignments, universities and all that kind of stufffff.

what do people think? any one imagine any problems with this forum title?

it would appear that you still have not sorted out this forum/issue.
i am a new psychology student, not sure how i ended up here, but thought that i could ask questions and get answers as well as learn from other questions already asked similar to what i would have asked.

kinda blank on psychology, have been reading alot, it is still not coming home, this is a requirement at the Tertiary institution i am associated with.

literally here! as in this topic! this topic is not the forum but you are reading a topic in the forum http://psychologyforum.us/professional-practice-and-educational-forum/

which as enigma pointed out is "for discussion of professional practice in psychology and educational matters. discuss courses, schools, assignments, assesments. Professional accreditation, registration, supervision, salaries and such"
