Hi im new to the forum

I need some advice.

I did my under grads in psychology and have been working in a social setting working with people with substance misuse issues.

My issue is I enjoy understanding peoples behaviour and personality trits but want to get into a career/ course which would allow me to do this and hopefully get paid for it.

Im completely stuck on how to pursue this futher

Please could someone shed some light on what I should do.
Thanks much appreciated

I'm not sure there is a huge market for that. You are going to have to be pretty special to get paid to give psychological help to individuals. If you think you have the skills aim to become a consultant.

Fluidity: Ignore hard science.

Sounds like mediation might be a way you could achieve your goal. It does pay, sometimes pretty well. But mainly it allows you to interact with people in a setting where they will open up about their most intimate and deepest thoughts. There are a number of places that teach courses in mediation. Some places require accreditation some don't so check out the local regulations. Many courts are requiring people to try and mediate cases before they go to court. Check it out. I am a mediator and it can be very interesting.
