I took the personality test and my personality type was described accurately. Of course, I simply clicked the answers without thinking too much about them. Just spontaneous answers...

I thought the test was good. Real good. I am just shy of saying it was excellent because it does not suggest any type of psychology vocation for me. But, then again, I did study the mind for the purpose of being great at other vocations.

It was fair, the personality scales are close, though the explanation is a little off.

Quote
Serious and quiet, interested in security and peaceful living. Extremely thorough, responsible and dependable. Well-developed powers of concentration. Usually interested in supporting and promoting traditions and establishments. Well-organized and hard working, they work steadily towards identified goals. They can usually accomplish any task once they have set their mind to it.

Really the only part that doesn't fit.

The jobs don't really match.

Quiet and reserved, interested in how and why things work.

Um, no, not at all.

Quote
Excellent skills with mechanical things.

Only if you include a talent for breaking them.  ::)

Quote
Risk-takers who live for the moment.
  If you say so.

Quote
Usually interested in and talented at extreme sports.
Um, I got ISTP, thats one step away from classic nerd.

Quote
Uncomplicated in their desires.
Rum, books, to steal Jupiter, yeah, pretty straightforward.

Quote
Loyal to their peers and to their internal value systems,
I would deny this, but I'm trying to give up lying.

Quote
but not overly concerned with respecting laws and rules if they get in the way of getting something done.
  Ok now we're getting somewhere.

Quote
Detached and analytical, they excel at finding solutions to practical problems.
  More or less.

About half the stuff in the results is nonsense, at least for me.  Question 27 drives me nuts since I want to say neither.  The question method is interesting enough, and I give it points for not being myers-brigg, though it gave me the same results.  I don't like the 4 factor personality measurement much though.

Yes, a lot of these questions need third options. The party ones, for example, need "I don't go to parties" and the friends questions needs "none".

Your personality type:

Logical, original, creative thinkers.
Can become very excited about theories and ideas.
Perhaps, but I also get excited about TV shows, new flavors of candy, and birds
Exceptionally capable and driven to turn theories into clear understandings.
Haha. No.
Highly value knowledge, competence and logic.
Knowledge and competence, yes.
Quiet and reserved, hard to get to know well.
I am the loudest, pushiest, most obnoxious female I know.
Individualistic, having no interest in leading or following others.
I will follow if I don't know how to do something myself. I will lead if no one else knows what to do.
Highly analytical, they can discover connections between two seemingly unrelated things and work best when allowed to use their imagination and critical thinking.
Yeah, but only when I'm bored.

Careers that could fit you include:

Physicists, chemists, biologists, photographers, strategic planners, mathematicians, university professors, computer programmers, computer animators, technical writers, engineers, lawyers, forensic researchers, writers, artists, psychologists, social scientists, systems analysts, researchers, surveyors.

I am absolutely awful at math :D

I rate this test: Fair.

Either 1.The test fails in this regard or 2.You fail at understanding the difference between liking being around a few friends and being around no friends.

My results were very accurate. I am an "independent thinker".

Independent, original, analytical and determined. Have an exceptional ability to turn theories into solid plans of action. Highly value knowledge, competence and structure. Driven to derive meaning from their visions. Long-range thinkers. Have very high standards for their performance and the performance of others. Natural leaders, but will follow if they trust existing leaders.

Careers that could fit you include:

Scientists, engineers, professors, teachers, medical doctors, dentists, corporate strategists, organization founders, business administrators, managers, military, lawyers, judges, computer programmers, system analysts, computer specialists, psychologists, photographers, research department managers, researchers, university instructors, chess players.

I have always felt independent from others and tried to anaylise everything that has happened to me. I worked 3 years as a teacher and I am pretty sure I could make a good psychologist.
