Magnetic fields
« on: May 05, 2009, 11:39:37 PM »
Exposure to magnetic fields will induce ghost-like experiences. It has thus been hypothesized that places with large magnetic activity are more likely to have paranormal reports.

Magnetic fields play an active role in influencing our subconscious mind which would make us to believe that something abnormal is happening around us and I guess it is the feeling one gets when they travel in Bermuda triangle where extra ordinary magnetic fluctuations occur.

If that is proven true, it can be the answer of many mysteries involving ghosts and other paranormal incidents. Do you think those magnetic fields are responsible for some certain places being so-called haunted?

That is a current hypothesis. Given that exposure to magnetic fields induces paranormal experiences, it is hypothesized that places with unusually large magnetic fields are producing paranormal effects like making the place haunted. I don't think it holds up though as the magnetic fields used in the lab are so much larger than those in the field. But it's worth consideration and maybe even research.

Magnetic fields in teh lab and in MRI machines are quite huge, however, they are also quite symmetrical. Maybe asymetric fields are more responsible for paranormal phenomena. Just a thought.
