Hi, I was wondering if this was common to people.

There are times when I hear very distinctly in my head a few words. I know very clearly that it is inside my head and I know exactly who said it. The person who says it is usually someone I know in real life. This happens very infrequently, and it is always just a few words. I never really pay attention to what is being said, but more to the voice (the person who said it).

This has been happening for quite a few years now. I used to think of it as echoes of memory or something. I thought it was perfectly normal and something which happened to everyone until I mentioned it to a friend of mine and she said that this didn't happen to her. Asking a few more people led me to believe that it is not something common.

What do you guys think?

I might be schitzophrenic, but i myself was just thinking today that i was going to tell my doctor that it was only a few words every once in a  while. The fact that you only hear a few words every once in a while, is a good thing in my opinion.
