The Beginning of an interesting Project

I am primarily here for one reason.  Psychology is step one.

Last year was supposed to be the beginning of this, but as with many large-scale projects conceived by self-admitted overachieving perfectionists who are disorganized procrastinators, life gets in the way.  Needless to say, I am a musician.  To make a rather long story much less appreciable by drastically reducing its wordiness via the deprivation of detail, I had this idea by which I would seek to achieve these goals:

-Intensify my knowledge of, appreciation for, and objectivity towards myself and the world in which I live.
-Draw parallels between the specific details of existence by relating the nature of their generalities. 
-Establish a rubric by which I could quickly and objectively develop opinion and more clearly perceive truth.
-Write a book (maybe)

This is to be accomplished through the study of the following subjects:

-Psychology
-Mathematics / Logic / Physics
-Medicine / Physiology
-Language / Linguistics
-History / Anthropology / Sociology
-Theology / Religion / Paranormal
-Philosophy

By studying each of these, I plan to learn enough so that I might appreciate it in its entirety.  ie- I don't strive to be able to solve the great unsolved mathematical problems of our time, but I do want to be able to understand them, what they say, and why they are unsolvable.  Each subject has many specific sub-topics of study, and for each of these, I plan to find someone to act as an adviser. 

This is (conceivably) to be accomplished through the following means:

-Self-education through reading
-Extensive writing, particularly in the development of goals, arguments, and conclusions.
-Recommendations of Adviser
-Discussions with the community / forums.

For the past year, I have been writing an introduction to the project, planning out the sub-topics, finding reading material, and trying to find time enough to think.  Throughout the next year, I plan to make considerations based on the feedback, intuition, recommendations, and ramblings of those here.  Thank you in advance for your help.

Interesting. When I left college I had similar goals and over the years I have accomplished many of them. I may be able to assist you with some of yours.

I have been working on a text called "The Direct Enviornmental Logistics Plan for Heightened Awareness." Or the D-Text. It attempts to put reality in formulas.

Basic reality can be measured using these 4 parameters.
What you know
What you think you know
What you don't know
What you can't know

This allows the most exact measurement of what is real or true I could find. When utilized they allow for a quantitative measurement. Anything that can be measured can be controlled or manipulated.

The text continues with other parameters of reality and how they interact. Goals, motivational factors, positive and negative reinforcement, devotion of time and attention, devotion of percentage of concentration, devotion of resources. Etc. These have all been put in formulas so they are easier to access once the person is familiarized with the process.

I am a musician also. Singer/songwriter actually. What style of music do you do? I have been doing mainly country lately. I have done other styles in the past, but since I have gotten older country kinda suites me.

You have a tall order in your goal, but I can tell you it can be done. I had similar goals as I said and I accomplished a good deal of them. Now on the other hand I am not foolish enough to think I know everything. Interacting on this sight has made that clear. There are some very intellegent people here and I have continued to learn from them. Anyone with and open mind could benifit greatly from the wisdom being posted here.

Writing down your information. Or putting it on a computer is a good idea. I also would recommend keeping older versions of your work. That way if you become discouraged you can look at them and see your progress. Or something you might think is unimportant may become important later so you don't want to discard it. I have worked on the D-Text for about 30 years and it still isn't finished.
