Hey, I'm new here as you can tell.
I came across this website when I was looking for books on psychology. Seems interesting, so I thought I'd join.

:) Nice to meet you all

James

Where to start  ;D
Quite interested in social psychology. I find it fascinating how people react differently to the same situations and things like that.
Clinical psychology as well, that's very interesting.

What about you?

anything related to mental health and psychological therapies.  thats the field i work in, and i love it.

but also interested in "alternative" forms of psychotherapy such as hypnosis and NLP. when i say alternative i mean that dont have the academic or evidence backed theories.

i do find people really interesting in general, like you said, how people react and interact with other people and their environment is reallly interesting for me too.

i am a counsellor and therapist,  i work in primary care mental health and i do some temp work in secondary care psychiatric inpatient facilities. i am in the UK and things are very different to the US.

psychology is good job if you like people, it is very rewarding to help people change their lives.

i still dont know what i want to do, i am just working and studying and making my mind up as i go. i will always work as therapist of some kind. and i would like to stay in mental health but as john lennon once sang "Life is what happens to you while your busy making other plans"

what you studying?
