Anyway, I am glad to be here.  I think I'll have tons of fun reading all the great topics.  Thank you to the Admin of this forum!!

Wow.  Fielding Institute is an interesting place.  As one of my licensures is in medicines (being a Lic. Psych Tech), thought about doing some of their psychopharm stuff.

Whatcha doing there?  What prompted you to do psych in the first place?  Welcome 'n all that...

Thanks Corwin!  I chose Fielding because it seems to be one of the best that offers online courses.

I'm in the military and cannot really just settle for one local school.  I really wish I could, but with assignments and a military husband as well, it is just not realistic.  I need something that offers online courses.  But I also want it to be APA accredited, which Fielding is.

I've always been fascinated with Psychology.  I've got tons of mental issues, LOL, and have decided a long ago that being on the other side of the mental health office might actually be quite interesting.

I come from a very physically, sexually abusive childhood and therefore led a life of victim to the same, and THEN married into the same environment.  Finally, I stopped and shook my head, realizing there had to be a way to stop the cycle.  So I began investigating psychology.  I am in love with the study.

Thanks for the welcome!  I'm enjoying this forum and it's great topics!

Am always happy that people recovering from such hurts and losses are doing the work.  Moreso, that they can say it "out loud", in a way that's graceful and clearsighted in terms of boundaries and such.

*Thanks Stan and Corwin*

Experience definitely leads to better understanding.  I am very passionate about the prevention of violence and treatment of the victims.
