Hello
« on: December 04, 2008, 01:59:46 AM »
Hey everyone. I'm Brian and i'm a soon to be graduate student  with some questions. I don't kno where to post this so I'll post it here.
Today our school (Rutgers) had 2 grad students from Temple U come speak about grad school, getting, what its like etc.
They said something that shocked me, you do not need to pay for grad school if you are going in for a Phd. So that was news to me.
I know these programs are funded for research, that is why they give money to the students and school.
The question I have is if I were to enter into a Phd program, would i have to do research to have a paid tuition or could I be a teachers assistant,
and put in weekly hours of work that way.

Thanks for any help!

Welcome, Brian!  Are you a member of your school's Psych club?  I bet you the club members there have tons of info to help answer your question if you haven't already found it.  Usually alumni folks, under grads, staff, etc. keep each other in the loop concerning moving on to grad school and doctorate's stuff.

Good luck to you!
