Waxing ?

Hi there,

A quick presentation : i am a psychology student, nlp and ericksonian hypnosis practitioner. I am passionate about the unconscious mind and always eager to learn!

The question that got on my mind is why do we need to wax our vagina ? It's not really a common question but in my environnement it is considered as a basic thing to do, hairy vagina's are considered as ugly and old-fashioned. Personnaly i think that bare vagina's are prettier and cleaner, but then why do we need to get rid of something so natural ? At first i thought that many thousand years ago we didn't wear panties and the hairs were very useful - but today *society* has just a different state of mind. I also heard that bare vagina reminds of young and virgin girls. So then to what refers the bare vagina in the unconscious mind ? What archetype? ... ?

Well the reason is because it seems prettier and more practical to wear bikinis. But that's just the surface of why i think i do it. I wanted to see what answer really lies underneath.

so you made a conscious decision to wax your vagina because it looks prettier andis more practical but you think that there is more to it than that.

do you think there might be more to why you think there might be more to it? hope that makes sense.

do you have any pictures, maybe a before and after shot? then we can see if it really is prettier or if it is something more unconscious. *joke*

ahahaha i was in research of a deep and complex answer, the subject might be funny but it's in little things like waxing  that we can discover some great things. lol hope you get me!

pehaps there is something to discover in why you dismiss or discredit your conscious reasoning and look for an unconscious reason.  perhaps, and this is just an idea for us to play with, to some extent you have been conditioned to think that your vagina is not acceptable in its natural state and must be groomed and made pretty, and in a similar way you have also been conditioned to think that the content of your conscious mind is not very valuable or trust worthy and that real trustworthy and valuable mental content exists beyond the realms of the concsious mind.
