Hi,

Be more observant?
This gives you an edge on most people.........

Question events and what they mean?

To be on the same page as others you need to dumb it down.

Being on that page is not that hot.
Better to be independant.

Do you feel isolated and want acceptance?

Result is not always what iy is cracked-up to be.......

A few questions.

A you a man or a woman?
Do you 'gossip' at all? (men gossip sometimes to)
Do you feel this way about all matters or just important events?
How was your childhood (Did your parents keep a lot of stuff from you?)
Do you feel you need to know everything?

@ iliw

could you explain perhaps by way of example what you mean by "being the last to know important things"
And the  LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as  one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

As long as you know that your mental awareness is not all there, over time, you will correct yourself. (a form of modeling)

Just keep asking yourself what information am i not catching.

I am always the last to know important things in life, and I want it to stop.

How can I be mentally equal?
Learn.

Learning is the antithesis of ignorance.  Seek out all forms.  Don't just bury yourself in books, go to the clubs or dances or socials.  Grasp all forms of experience, that is how knowledge comes about.  All that you want to know "mentally" is there from the git-go--you just need to see it.

I believe it was Frank Zappa who said that, "if you want to get laid go to college, but if you want an education go to a library."

lol.  That's like asking for a chicken without first considering the egg.  Other people might call that a drawn out oxymoron.  Um, honestly, if that is your desire, you might be paddling up shit creek without, well, a paddle...

What exactly is your definition of "important things" anyway?  To some people that could be the birth of a child, while to others that could be sports scores.

I am a man.  I think gossip is unethical.  I feel this way about important knowledge in life.  I want to know important things.

Is there any research to denote this?

I thought psychology is a science, no?

everybody else has knowledge of truths of life by default,
What about the alleged feral children?  Beyond instinct they're oblivious.  I guess "default" just exempted them...

Knowledge is derived from experience.  Another way of saying that is LEARNING.

Knowledge is not gained by learning, it is gained by default.
So you mean that if you lock yourself in a room with no outside stimulus (reading material, current events, television, etc.) whatsoever, that you will just fill up with knowledge?  I mean, I agree that all knowledge is there from the start, but it must be uncovered by the process known as learning.

iliw you are looking for a shortcut that does not exist, life is not that simple sometimes it can become impossible.... To be wise and have knowledge by default you have to realize life doesn’t have these shortcuts.

Let me give you some advice since your asking.

Take peoples advice understand it, be humble and not insult and criticize their advice.
Remember your the one seeking answers not us.

Everybody has default knowledge, so why not me?
Because you're special.  You are distinct from every other human being on the planet.  You are an exemplary case of one who is born with the inability to learn.  You are void inside.  You seek reconciliation with the rest of humanity, but are devoid of the method of doing so.  Your only hope is to get up from your spot you occupy now, dig into the dirt, and... learn.

So, is sarcasm one of my strong points?

what void?

This apparent deficiency of "default knowledge."

No one is stopping you.  In fact, I encouraged you to "do it" in a previous post.

You are asking questions.  I am giving my answers.  Perhaps you are the one who is phased?

Why is default knowledge in quotes?
Because it is a would-be oxymoron.

Quote
There is default knowledge.
And it is called instinct, or as Jung terms it: The Collective Unconscious.  Every other facet of knowledge is learned.

Quote
You are saying why I cannot be.
No, you are saying that you "cannot be."  All you need to accomplish that which you seek is within.  Anything gained from "outside means" comes with a price; be it doubt, or depletion of energy, or whatever.  Just ask yourself what it is that you want, if you ask often and sincere enough an answer may just come to you.
