exercises for mental fitness

Do you know of any mental exercise, brain training games that can improve your mind?

Have you ever used these exercises or techniques?

Hanoi is a good brain exerciser!  You have to figure out how to get an entire stack of stones to the other side, but you can only move one stone at a time and when they reach the other side they have to be in size order.

The Rubik's cube is another great brain trainer.

Here's a site I found; I haven't used their games yet but I will definitely start!

i tried a few different games on that site Cecile, there are a variety of games and puzzles there. i got a bit addicted to one of the flash based games. one thing i thought was odd about my reaction times was my left hand being quicker than my right although i am right handed. odd.

yesterday in work i had a break and i was looking through somebodies paper, on the second page of the paper was a brain exercise, this is in the paper everyday, also there is a puzzle page in that paper with some good brain training puzzles.  code breaker and sudoku, suduko... sodoku whatever it is called.

i was impressed by the fact that a national newspaper has a permanent brain train puzzle on its second page. and a full page of puzzles. it is obviously something that its customers appreciate, and i thought this was great.

I couldn't stop playing the flash game -- the brain reflection one where you have to click the box as fast as you can when it changes color.

Maybe your left brain is dominant... :P

That's pretty cool about the paper!  I love brain puzzles and trainers.
