I think the forums could use a more professional banner that really reflects what Therapeutic Connection is all about. Perhaps a simpler font and a classy image or logo at the top would get the point across to all of the users. I can suggest a banner to some graphics people I know if you would like.

i definitley agree that the forum needs a better banner than the current one.
i have so many things to do at present that i have made this as a temporary one.
when i have more time i would like to redesign the header completely.
i would like to see something that reflects the diversity of the users of the forums but also emphasises the unity of humanity.  

when this board is being used as i hope it will (it has only been public for 2 weeks) we will have people form many cultures and backgrounds, professionals, students, patients of mental health services, other service users, people who are experiencing mental health concerns, friends and family concerned for the loved ones. i also have plans to introduce some lecturers and professors from universities in the future.

there is lots of work for me to do here on the boards to get the place suitable for all these users.

amongst other things a new header is also planned, i hope to have a header that symoblises the diversity and unity of all people and that is aesthetically pleasing to people form all of the mentioned backgrounds.

i would be greatful for any suggestions about what kind of images, colour schemes you think might work. the grey red and black are staying for the forums, topic and post templates as these colours contrast well and make the boards easy to read. the header could be anything contrasting or harmonius. i could also have more than one header that will appear randomly or on rotation.

any ideas along these lines are very welcome.

I like the concept you have going on with the entire unity and diversity. I could ask a few of my graphic friends that I know to see if they can suggest anything. Just let me know if you want me to do this. You have a vision, and I do not want to stampede upon it.

certainly you could ask them as long as i am not committed to anything. i am fussy when it comes to preference and quality. i wouldnt want people to think i had requested something from them and then turn them down.
