has any body ever been hypnotised? can you remember any of it?

what did you think about hypnotism before you were hypnotised?
And the  LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as  one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

I have not been professionally hypnotized yet though I would really like to undergo hypnotism and see what it is all about.

Well... technically, just about everyone has been hypnotized by definition. If you've ever caught yourself in a "trance-like" state, like maybe when driving to work, then you were under hypnosis.

But you mean in the traditional sense, where you are told to "get really sleepy." Do some searches on YouTube and you'll find some real videos of people being hypnotized. A lot of people do it thinking it can't be real, but they are curious... and then shocked. :)

I did a 3 hr commute everyday for 2 years.  The drive was 1.5 hrs each way and I always had checkpoints to help pass the time.  The highway was a straight shot - no getting on ramps or exiting, just one highway, one way.

Some days, though, I'd get to a checkpoint and wonder when the heck I reached the previous one -- didn't even remember!  It was as if I was on auto pilot.

Is that what you mean by trance-like state?  Would you consider that being under hypnosis?

I think so. Judging from what I've read on the net, it's not uncommon to enter a very light trance whilst driving, especially if the drive is a long familiar one.

My abnormal psych teacher did it in class last year.  It wasn't very deep, though I remember my arms felt really heavy.  The teacher described hypnosis as like the state when you first wake up out of a dream; when you know your awake but your not actually awake.

True story - yes it really happened:

I was with someone once to do a temp job. This man I was working for was into experimentation with alternate psychological methods - and saw me as a candidate (ha!) to try out one of his methods, which was hypnotherapy. This against my knowledge and agreement. So while I sat there doing this work for him, he was playing music on his stereo to a certain tempo (or beat) and talking to me in a montone, suggesting things which he thought might be 'good' for me (he saw me as a 'needy' soul in need of some help!).

Unfortunately for him, he seriously underestimated my intelligence and my realisation of what he was doing. Remembering what he was trying to suggest to my subconscious mind later (no it wasn't sexual - he wasn't a deviate), I could appreciate that he was interested in my circumstances, but he was nonetheless trying to control me to his appreciation of how my life should be to his way of thinking.

Makes you think, though, how subtle hypnosis could be, subliminal suggestion and all that. The hypnotherapist, though use of repetition, music (beat), monotone voice (for eg) is trying to get the brain to operate on a different frequency thus to change the 'mind'. I've learned something by personal experience.
